The weekend starts out with my Crew Chief Mike Shrake telling me he can’t make to Infineon.  So my girlfriend/trainer/team medic/truck driver says she will pick up the slack. Why not, she does almost everything else.  Add to that, it’s my Tech guys first race and his helper cancels too.  Oh, well we are all just going to have to step up!

We had a great time at Chuckwalla.  Friday we trained a couple students, Saturday and Sunday Elaine raced my Ninja 250.  Saturday her best finish was fourth and Sunday third!  It was awesome to see her out there battling for a podium!  A great result for only her second race weekend.  We leave next weds for the Infineon AMA round! ... << MORE >>

We had an interesting weekend.  The forecast was cold and possible rain on Saturday.  Well it was WRONG. It snowed most of the day Saturday!  We were locked down in the transporter all day.  Sunday came, it was cold but the weather cooperated and it was sunny and just a little windy.  We were able to train 3 students on Sunday.  The funny thing is we are at the track 35 weekends a year and usually we only loose a day or 2 to bad weather. << MORE >>

I am often asked, “What is it like to ride an Electric Superbike?”  The closest comparison I can give is to that of riding a gas bike. Well, sort of.  The same throttle twist makes the bike go, just as a brake squeeze makes it stop. You chop the throttle and there is engine braking (regenerative of course) just like its gas counterpart.  However, there is no transmission, only a 10,000 RMP power band that is butter smooth and incredibly easy to modulate.

3/3-4 CVMA Race Report

I was not going to race at this event, my race budget is allocated for AMA , but my girlfriend Elaine and my partner Tom both wanted to race. So I agreed to come and support them. I threw in my ninja 250 just to have some fun on.

We get to the track Thursday evening at 7pm, thinking that we are there plenty early to get out 70’ transporter parked in our usual spot. WRONG! There are already 50 rigs in the paddock parked ...
